A vocal segment of a group may or may not accurately reflect the actual composition of the group on whole. Thus the term 'silent majority' frequently applies when considering any large diverse population. Truckers, engineers, school teachers, any large group.
One must consider that in any working group that many are doing just that, working and living life. Many don't have the time, energy, inclination to post on these boards.
The wife and I are about to go to orientation (Aug 2) and we have a lot to learn, so I am sure that after this week any posts from me will be few and far between for several months.
Heck Endzone, we are both from Texas and look at the extremes that exist in this state, and look at the national news descriptions of "Texans".

Stirring the schidt again, I see.:biggrin_25522: You really do crack me up. :biggrin_2559: You come on this forum, with your lightly veiled insults, then talk about people "attacking" you.

IMHO, you are doing nothing more than trying to see who you can upset. Not a problem, enjoy yourself.

I dunno, this sort of sounds like Pelosi to me. Just HOW has your experience here been different?

    Uh-huh right. Didn't think so. . .

Yep. We are all just alike. Just a bunch of losers who have no education and can't find any other line of work. Join us.
Nah, don't worry about that, you'll fit right in.:biggrin_2559:
Funny thing about "experience." It is something that is usually a reflection of a person's attitude. Two different people can "experience" the exact same thing, and come away from it having had two distinctly different "experiences." It depends on how you look at life in general.
    Define "normal.":biggrin_25511:
Au contrair, I believe your posts have been very well received. But let me ask you this, If you are NOT here to stir the schidt, why would you deliberately post something that you don't think is going to be well received. It is not like there is any important information that you are putting out here. In other words, just what, (if anything,) are you trying to accomplish?
Yep, there are a lot of idiots out there on the CB. Most of the guys who have diarrhea of the mouth, are either incredibly bored, or just not very intelligent. In fact a lot of the stuff you hear on the CB is not intelligent, regardless of the boredom factor.

But that doesn't mean the CB is not a good tool, and has no place in the industry. It is an extremely valuable tool, and like any tool there will be those who misuse it. Sort of like posting on a forum. . .
If you aren't crazy when you start out you will be before long. Is that what you are saying? Hell man, come on in, you will be shoo in for the job!:biggrin_2559:
I certainly agree with that statement. And they are not ALL truckers!
Geeze man, I really do love your insults. Are you having fun?:biggrin_25526:
I'm sure you are. After nine years and numerous forums, I'll bet you have been "attacked" plenty of times.:biggrin_25522: I'm wondering how many you have been kicked off of.
Oh yeah, you would be a good fit in the trucking world. In fact, it would not surprise me one little bit to find that you are already IN the trucking world, probably as a dispatcher somewhere.

And I'm sure that everybody is interested in your posts, just as I am. Otherwise, I wouldn't be taking the time to respond like this. Hell man, you are a laugh a minute.

I agree. ANY group will have its most vocal and obvious extremes, and the more intellectually lazy will just accept them as the 'norm' without bothering to consider that we are, in the end, all individuals. This scales up or down as far as you like, from hobbies to companies, to nations and ethnic groups.
"You Yanks are all alike" is one I've seen quite a bit from some folks across the pond. My response is usually something like: "You know ALL of us?"

I speak my mind when asked but,I try to keep to myself unless I am running with someone.
I have been back behind the wheel for 3 weeks now and all I can say is wow the industry has changed since I came off the road in 07.

I did not expect any different so its all good. I am just out here to earn a ceratin amount each month and everything I earn after that is just extra iceing . I truck because I don't play well with others all the time.

I like everyone, Not going to waste the rest of my life, arguing, fighting, I, Just walk away. But I see a lot of older drivers on this forum, I like that. The older you get, the more simple you make life. Great board here.

I choose not to bicker or fight to make a living I just quietly rolled my tool box out to my pick up and loaded up and got in a truck and here we are. I like people but some folks are just annoying .

I have alittle education and have had some #### good jobs but due to the economy and getting laid off last year from a big company I decided that was not the way to go. I like driving and nobody telling me what or how to do things.

Big Don is right on. The OP is nothing but a troll. So let's have a little fun-

Mr. Endzone, sir. I would contend that YOU are a nutjob. And a clueless one at that. So clueless, in fact, that if you dressed in a clue skin, doused yourself in clue musk, and did the clue dance in the middle of a field of horny clues at the height of clue mating season, you still would not have a clue.
