    You sure are tolerant. That was about 4 mins and 30 seconds maybe even 45 seconds longer than I'd have given it.

    I HATE THEM THINGS.

    Bricky, the only reason it lasted that long was because I was trying to roll down the window, cover my ears and get something around my naked body, and I only had two hands...:biggrin_25523:

    Otherwise, there would have been some drivers getting a free peep show...

    Regarding the OP: My guy uses one of those cotton-pickin' screaming meanie things. I sleep fairly light most of the time. He sleeps like a rock. That's been frozen inside a glacier. For ten thousand years. Even the word "INCOMING!!!" wouldn't wake him. So he sets this thing to wake him up. And then hides it on one of his shelves so he has to get up to shut it off.

    I think one of two things has happened to me as a result of his alarm clock.

    I have a few more grey hairs.
    or I will live about two years shorter than I otherwise would have.

    I think I may have peed myself once when it went off and he was scrambling to find it.

    And that's my review of screaming meanie.

    OK, so we've basically established that:

    1) It's freaking LOUD on high setting.

    2) and that's it's not easy to turn off----but maybe they designed it that way so you would be guaranteed to wake up?

    I've been able to turn it off in my sleep, so I normally put it in the cab so I have to get up.

    If I were to use one and it didn't give me a heart attack and kill me I am sure that my wife would kill me.
    Right after she was able to get control of her bodily functions long enough to do the deed.

    She is far jumpier than I am.
