My 70 year old mother would argue with you until she was blue in the face.

She hasn't touched a drink in over 40 years. Believes that ALL drugs are bad. She won't even take her prescribed meds as directed.

But she does believe that medicinal use of pot, IS a good thing. Especially when you consider the fact that people taking Chemo, are taking poison.

She is a firm believer in someone being pain free and as comfortable as humanly possible when they suffer from certain conditions. regardless of the legality of the drug.

I have to give her due. She never used pot. But she is a 2 time survivor of cancer. And she went through hell both times.

Out of 9 brothers and sisters, there remain 3. The other 6 died of cancer. So she knows more than I, about the risk.

If you have a legitimate prescription, you need to send it to the MRO that reviewed the UA results. There is no difference is testing positive for THC, if it is prescribed, or testing positive for Opiates if you have been prescribed Vicodin for pain. However, you can have neither in your system prior, during, or just after performing a safety sensitive function.
These are the facts, the reality may be different. Good Luck

Like I said I don't understand the desire. I like my mind functioning properly, not chemically induced feelings.

In fairness I see no difference in those that use drugs (pot, heroin, PCP, cocaine) and those that use alcohol. None, all of it is about introducing chemicals in to your body to change the way you feel.

Personal choice. I will choose not to. I have a very good idea of pain and suffering. I have dealt with many who have had various cancers. My parents both have, and one died.

I know somedays how hard it is to even get out of bed with the pain. Many days I do not even take Advil or Tylenol. I also avoid prescription medication.

First go out and witness a mob hit. Then testify and arrange to enter the Witness Protection Program. They will give you a new ID and a fresh start.
Lose 100#, grow a beard, dye your hair and hope Guido doesn't get paroled.
    Did I leave anything out?

Pretty hot topic! The whole thing boils down to can you get a driving job after jumping the hoops and getting a CDL? Probably not I know it's bad news but that's the way it is. The school should have explained this to you and if I were you I'd be asking for a refund on the tuition. They will jerk you around some but be firm, the other choice is stay clean do the hoops and get the CDL and hope they guarantee they can get you hired. BUT BE FORWARNED IT WILL BE THE LOWEST OF THE BOTTOM FEEDERS.

My advice, cut run, find a desk job that doesn't require a whiz quiz BOL

Tazz, I hope you don't ever get cancer. I had it in 03 and 04 twice. They gave me some of the strongest chemo around. It was not fun. They had to give me the antidote for it within 2 hrs.of injecting it or I would have died right there. We had the honor of being bought out by a new co. in 2003. They required all of us to get a new physical. I visited with the DO, not an MD who was giving the physical for nearly 2 hrs. while he tried everything he could think of to fail me. I finally told him if he wanted to fail me go ahead because I had already been over everything my oncolagist was giving me and that he had said none of it would impair me. Sometimes when you get ill you have to take stuff that is not what the almighty DOT want you to have. I have taken some GOOD DOPE while I was being treated for cancer, especially right after the surgeries. I don't take it now and I don't drink but that is my choice, and if you want a drink I have no problem with that.

It's amazing how quick people judge when they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. The OP is no more of a hazard on the road than someone that's never done any drugs or drank in his life. If it were up to me I'd take Injun off the road right now because of what he is taking. I guess he's failed to read the adverse affects on what he's taking. Do you want somebody that's taking a drug that can cause seizures or someone that hasn't done any drug driving a truck next to you.

The facts are simple here. The states that have pasted the medical marijuana laws have done it so a patient can stop taking medication that is more damaging than the marijuana. Or to help someone that can not eat from cancer and so on. The federal government is catching up, not too long the president made the statement that no federal agency would interfere with the states on this.

The OP is clean. He doesn't do any drugs for the simple high affect. He's done it for medical reasons and I say more power to him. Some of you will condemn him while you sit in the pup getting ##### faced. But you're eager to say that's legal. So was he. I hope the OP has a company that doesn't have their head back in the 1930 with refer madness and see's he's done nothing wrong except he didn't wait long enough. I don't see all this damnation with the DUI's working and driving. Looks like a few hypocrites here.
