Click on the URL below ... then you will see a lot of menu options under Detailed Search ... click on 24 hours and grocery and supercenter to get a checkmark sign to appear in the box.

Choose the link to search up to 100 miles from your present location or a location you will be at in the future. Then hit enter and you will get the contact information for the Walmart Supercenters that have food.

True ... but the people in the IT department of Wal Mart who developed this check list to search for Supercenters that are open 24 hours and that have groceries did not factor into the situation that drivers would need to find out which Wal Marts allow for truck parking and which ones don't. Hence, no check mark for truck parking, for now.

So ... below is the URL for the Wal Mart Corporate offices contact information in Bentonville, AR. I would ask them if they print out a brochure or small booklet that could have listed on it Wal Marts that DO and DO NOT accept truck parking.

Also, you could also call the manager at the local store near you or on your route and ask what their current policy is for or against truck parking.

The URL below is how RVers find Wal Mart stores that will allow them to park. Maybe some of their same tricks could be applied to drivers.

You can also buy an atlas, from Wal*Mart, that has all stores, including Sam's Clubs, that are within 2 miles of an interstate.
Then, you can call ahead, and ask if they have truck parking, and IF LOCAL ORDINANCES ALLOW THAT TRUCK PARKING.

There have been quite a few incidences of truckers calling ahead and asking if they have truck parking, only to get their trucks towed while inside the store, because LOCAL ORDINANCES don't allow it.

I always park in the back by the docks. I used to do DSD work so I am comfortable hanging out back there.

I don't normally call ahead. I just pull around to the dock area out of the way and ask if I can go inside and do some quick food shopping. I also leave fast soon as my shopping is done. But I mostly avoid walmart and go after the win-dixies publix kroger ect

Hubby and I have found a few Super Targets that let us park for shopping.

ST has a brand of product in their stores, called "Archer Farms", that have WONDERFUL healthy snack items!!

But, it's really hard to find the one's that have enough space for a tractor AND trailer.

For MY money, I PREFER a Super Target, Kroger, Publix, Piggly Wiggly, Aldi, and even Sav-A-Lot stores. But they are very hard to find, unless you know a particular area very well.

In regard to locating grocery stores I was thinking that a GPS' points of interest feature might list nearby grocery stores. This would help truckers not familiar with an area and locate favorite store chains.
