This is a new one .Drivers beware

It varies by state. In OR seatbelt tickets are a moving violation, the same has running a red light or speeding.

 

If this driver was speeding and the cop give her a break by giving her a seat belt ticket then what is she whining about?

One of our drivers got a ticket in TX for a improperly adjusted seat belt. Since our trucks will only run 65mph then there was no chance of a him speeding when the cop made a u-turn on the freeway and pulled him over and give him a ticket for a improperly adjusted seat belt. The driver made 2 trips to TX to fight this ticket and won because the judge would not believe that the officer could see good enough to determine that the seat belt was properly adjusted from the other side of the freeway.
