I wouldn't work for Knight. Too much irritation and grief-they really don't care about their people. Most of their middle management are young kids that are college grads with little to no experience in trucking. Not the group that can understand what the drive faces day in and day out.

Who Would YOU Pick? Arnold, Sitton, or Knight?
Could you give me some more to choose from? -
TransAm out of KS
Star out of TS
Roehl out of WI
CFI out of MO
Im about to graduate in 4 weeks and need to start making a decision. Ive heard great things about all these companies. CFI being my favorite right now since I havent heard a negative about them. Roehl is in the same boat plus their closest terminal is near to home. The other two have been basicaly from the good things I hear around here.
I need some advice, help me out fellas -
i choose roehl.................
-
4 pre hires, sounds like you are doing something right.I am driving for Roehl, and I would have to reccomend them as a number 1 pick. However every one you have listed sounds pretty good.Just remember that no matter who you go with, your work habits and attitude will have a strong bearing on how you get along.Best of luck to you.

Thanks guys. Roehl is looking pretty good right now plus they have tuition re-embursement + pay a little more during training and after than CFI. I dont think Ill be going to star, pay is looking kind of low with them. and trans am offers no tuition re-embursement. This is not to discredit any of them from the good things posted about them from actual drivers, its just my own personal needs.
As far as work habbits, look at it this way. I had 3 days off + the weekend last week and by friday I was itching to get back to work. -
Not sure if it is still the same, but back when I was looking inot CFI, the recruiter was up front with me and told me that there was a log of New York City trips. (basically explaining they tend to run a triangular sort of route)
Not sure if this is still the case or not, this was back in 2003 -
One pays hub miles and one pays household movers guide miles.Man thats a big difference.Go with whoever pays hub miles.

Just pray the Hubometer is accurate. I've seen some that were way off with respect to the odometer.

:smt102 I have been job searching for a good company to drive for and I have narrowed it down to two companies. Roehl and Hirschbach. Both companies seem to have good reputations and good equipment. But, I would like to hear from those who know more than I do about these two. I like the lease purchase program. (some say I'm crazy
I know) but, I was a Lease Op and OTR trainer and would like to continue both. Please let me know your views and/or opinions, or if you know of a better company thats a help too.
Thanx to all
