Just found you something that may help. Go to this site Texas DMV and check out the Motor Carriers links. You should find what you need there. The first two links in that section should cover what you need.

    Mastertech Thanks this.

When you get to the page the link takes you to, start with the 'Motor Carrier Registration' link. On that page, start with the 'General Information' page. Then go to the 'Interstate Motor Carriers' link. That will provide you with links to the forms you need. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 7, which they do have a link to on their site if you do not have the most recent version of Acrobat Reader. Look around on the pages on that first link, and you will find everything you need. Pop back in here and post in this thread if you need further help. I usually get on here about every day, just not always the same time each day. I am usually around each evening though.

Hon, it sounds like you've been going at this for quite a while. Step away from it for a bit, and let yourself relax. You sound like you're far from being a moron, so don't get down on yourself. ~Hugs~

rocknroll nik and Mastertech Thank this.

What they both said. You aren't a moron. It's a pain in the backside to figure some of this stuff out. I have a good chunk of it already, as hubby and I were thinking about starting a company before he got injured.

yes you do need to be an actual business. I was looking into being an owner op myself but I have recently suffered a major injury and will have to figure something else out. You keep asking good questions and we'll keep trying to help you and family out.
