Company pays for lumpers, you just cut a ComData check, fill out the reimbursement form in your TripPack and you're done with it. And you WILL use a lumper, get in trouble if you lump yourself.

Not only that, but if you do lump it yourself, they'll only pay you $1 per thousand lbs whereas, they'll pay up to $350 or more to have it lumped.

Still have an intermittant problem with my APU and it must be in the controller unit. Sometimes the AC part won't kick on till you actually turn the tripac off and restart it. Happy with doing that tho as long as it works. Guess my pac got skeered cause when I pulled into the TK, the #### thing started working. GRRRRRR!! Did get a belt replaced and some part put in and the drain unplugged. Had about a gallon of water under my bunk.
Am in MN waiting on a load going to WI south of Milwaukie. According to my dm, I'm preplanned all the way going home. Bumping really hard against my 70 right now. Had exactly zero hrs left when I stopped last night. Gained 9.5 back today and looks like I might be here till midnight. Drop dead time is 1700 and final is 450 miles away. Deliever at 1100 tomorrow. Figure I'll hit the road @0100.

Well my TriPak broke again, exact same problem too. Well luckily I'm in Harmony, PA and just north of Thermo King of Pensylvania so I'm going to head there and get it fixed for real this time.
As a starter company I don't think TransAm is too bad. I honestly think that ANY company is what you make of it, go in thinking it will suck and then be amazed when you hate it. Go in thinking that you'll do what it takes to get the job done, and yea crap happens and things just might turn out alright for ya. I'm trying to make the best out of this. I didn't get out of a job I hated to start another. My dispatcher can be a smart mouth, but I always reply back to him with a thank you, and address him as sir, and holy crap I've always got a load on me and a preplan waiting. Is it butt kissing? Probably. Is it keeping me moving when others I talk to on the road complain there are no loads? Probably. Hehe.
