I DO have lots of information. You apparently do NOT. I have no idea what US Xpress does; I don't work for them. The $7.95 charge for cash advances is what Smith gets charged-it is passed through to the driver who is BORROWING money against their pay. If the advance is for expenses & receipts are turned in, there is no charge. Again, it is Smith TRANSPORT, not SAVINGS & LOAN.

As for logs-things get lost, mistakes are made, the log may be filled out incorrectly & rejected by the system. If you get a violation, check it to make sure it's correct. No one & nothing is perfect. If you're so smart YOU sit there & go over 800+ driver logs for each day. See if you don't make a mistake.

You mention bonus-Bonus is EARNED and there are many drivers who EARN their bonus every quarter. Why? Not because they have what you call "inside help," (what does that mean anyway?) but because they work hard. They don't hit everything in sight, the get fuel where they are told to, they deliver their loads on time, and they run hard. it's all very simple.

Trucking is a business of pennies & it's difficult for companies to make money. One wrong move and any profit on a load is lost. You obviously have no idea of the economics of the trucking industry. Of course Smith tries to cut cost wherever possible. WHO DOESN'T???????

Sure 2 or 3 DM's left. People don't stay at companies forever, especially if they have personal issues or better offers or opportunities doing things they actually have experience doing. You fail to mention that most of the DM's at Smith have been there for quite some time.

    I'm done debating with you--You won't win!:biggrin_2559:

Guess Who, who are you trying to kid? You tell a very crooked story. For one I've been around the trucking industry for over 30 years. How about you? Maybe 10 years and ain't got your feet wet yet? OR are you just another one that just likes to run your mouth? The information on the drivers logs IS CORRECT ! The girls in the office use software and IF YOU were to ask them a question they WILL tell you that they DON'T KNOW!!! So how could they possibly do 800 logs as you say? I know what the $7.95 is for but thanks for the confirmation. Its always nice to have someone confirm that. Receipts/ Yup, EVERYONE knows that fact. And the company does do that. Bonuses???? Every driver that has been spoken to said they lost their bonuses about 1-2 years ago. They WERE TOLD by their DMs that the company was NO LONGER giving out bonuses! So Mr. Smarty Pants where do you get yours from??????? Obviously you don't come out to play very often or you would know WHAT the drivers are saying!!!!!!!! :biggrin_25522:

FYI I have been around more than 10 years. I have been there, done that, bought the t-shirt and sold it on Ebay. But yes, I do like to run my mouth-and I can back it up.

Yes, logs are checked by software. I will say it again-YOU sit and check logs for each day for 800 drivers, Mrs. Perfect. I challenge you to get it right every time.

Bonuses were not taken away. The program was changed. I know of at least 30 drivers that I can name right now who were just paid handsomely for the 2nd quarter bonus. "They" were told by their DM's? Who is "they"??? "They" are incorrect!

Anything else? Any more drivel to spew? Come on sweetie, I got an answer for everything.

A person CAN live on the road for a $100 a week. If you can't, you might want to review your spending habits. If it takes more than $100 a week to live on the road whats to stop you from spending as much as you need? $150 or $200 or whatever.

Sorry. Don't know what terminal you are out of but I'm telling you right now bonuses WERE taken away 1-2 years ago. You might want to ask other drivers you "don't know."

Yes you ARE sorry. Bonuses were NOT taken away. The parameters were changed. The mileage requirement was LOWERED. Wherever you are getting your information from is mistaken.

No, YOUR the sorry one for the LIES YOU TELL!! And my information comes from experience and being there. You obviously are one of the "INSIDERS" that KISSES to get what they want. AND obviously you'll keep arguing just for the principle of it. MILEAGE LOWERED? NOPE!!!!!! GOT TO GET MILES FIRST!!!! Tell me, do you get 1000-2500 per week are are you one of the "chosen few" that are "FAVORED" to get more than 3000 per week? Do you know what its like to bring home $200.00 per week because you can't get the miles? Obviously if you're "getting paid HANDSOMELY" you ARE a "CHOSEN" one!!!!! Tell me what extras did you do to achieve that status? AND IF you are a KISSER you are no longer worth arguing with. So, Have a nice day!!!!

Tell me...how long did your husband work at Smith? I have no knowledge of "chosen" ones or "kissers," and I NEVER SAID I WAS A DRIVER. I know the TRUTH and not just the rumors/####-chat that the drivers spread. You obviously do not have a clue.

Just thought I would let everyone know how im doing, here it is a year later, God is awesome, I have a job in which I'm home every day, making about 1100 bucks a week hauling mail for the post office and I only work 3 days per week and I love it. Thanks Smith Transport for Screwing me over because if it had not been for your sorry ### I would probably be away from my family everyday and barely getting by. I forgot to tell everyone that Smith Transport promised to pay me $100 for orientation and said they would send it to my house, this is just to let you know how crooked they are, to this day I haven't seen the money and I still live at the same address. God is my witness, Still think Smith Transport is a good company?
