I have a 15.8L 3406E 1mm 600 cat with pitts power box, all other parts stock. Can you reflash the ecm and run the box with good results?

you can make the ecm so that you will want to throw away the PP box and wonder why you ever bought it...IMHO. But to aswer the qusetion it can be done, but you will probably have the same issues as with stock...the higher the box settings the more heat and the more retarted the timing....sell the box , upgrade the ecm and do the rest with hard parts.
-
What hard parts would you replace? Have 50,000 on major rebuild with warranty left so may have to wait a while on some. Only run box on level 2 or 3 most of the time builds heat pretty fast on long hard pull . Power is good maybe just need a bigger windmill. What would be best replacement.

You need to do a ECM upgrade and get rid of the box. You will never move enough air to accommodate the box and it's retarded timing at it's highest setting for very long no matter what turbo you install, most everybody that uses a box doesn't go above setting 3
I sent you a PM, give me a call -
i think its a good question. a pp with an ecm hot. i think you need to change lots of things, like a marine cam and a bucnh of stuff that people said in here. some rumors say that its is better but im not sure.

Thanks for the replies will contact Mr. Haney and get more details. Can never get enough ponies seems like always want more. Just looking for a reliable runaway.

What would be the realistic reliable horsepower range for this engine be?
-
I've been building over a 1000hp at the flywheel and I have 620,000 miles on the engine, it's a 7CZ C-16. How much do you want..........850 would be very easy and reliable to build, plus you wouldn't need a custom built clutch to handle the torque

850hp would be great. can u get that many ponies with just ecm upgrade and maybe turbo? 850 at the flywheel would be about what 750 or so to the ground.
