I agree, I had never heard that before. I'm gonna have to try that out. Thanks HeavyD.

If you can check the amp draw with a digital multimeter it needs to be below 50milliamps dram with the dome lights off and everything off. Ideally most trucks run about 25 milliamps draw.
lego1970 Thanks this. -

Were do guys buy your batteries, im looking for 4 now. Any brand you prefer.

This has been my experience,
Alliance Batteries........ I had nothing but bad luck with those, I think I came across 3-5 junk batteries from them that didn't last more then a couple months and I always replaced my batteries in sets.
Napa Batteries.........Pretty good luck both in semi and p/u truck. I had one junk Napa battery that died after a week of putting them in, but after that the set lasted over 3 years before I sold the truck. My current Napa battery in my p/u is over 5 years old.
Optima Batteries.........They are expensive and I never had one in a semi, or in my personal p/u but had one in a work p/u that had an electric winch and inverter for running tools. We (the company) went thru two other batteries after installing the winch before trying the Optima. After that we never had another issue. I don't know what makes them work so good, but I would love to try them in a semi.
That's all I can tell you, good luck.
