Most States have went to merge over for emergency vehicles or slow down if you can't. Not sure what the best answer is. I myself think they need to do traffic stops and can see them searching vehicles, but if they are doing a level 1 on a truck then need to take it elsewhere.

The problem with "move over or slow down" is that the folks who habitualy use the left lane see a truck with the left signal going have a tendancy to block and tailgate so that the truck has to break hard to avoid the ticket.

Mostly unenforced. Along with the "left lane is for passing only" laws..... mostly unenforced.

    You all miss the point!!!

Speeding is a revenue based ticket. It is written with such frequency, as there is a tangible ability to prove it, ie...RADAR, LASAR, or VASCAR....

Speeding tickets are less about safety and more about revenue, the kicker is the gov't gets these sheep to become law enforcement, and stand out there risking their lives for a speeding ticket....it all comes down to an officers life is worth a $200 ticket....

All these names of troopers on the roadway... I look them up, 50% are attempting to apprehend criminals, and 50% are simply killed by an inattentive driver.....all for a speeding ticket, taillight ticket, or a truck inspection, not to heroic imho...
