Just a heads up - At the moment I'm 36 weeks prego - and already dialated (woo hoo). My hubby's dispatcher told him to remind her (starting this week) that I'm pretty much at the end of my pregnancy and she'd keep him closer to home. I thought that was pretty decent of them.

Today was amusing - he was dispatched a load to New York by the person covering his normal dispatcher. She is gone for the afternoon. He contacted her and let her know that I'm ready to go - and she said "Oh! That I was not aware of! How about we relay that one!" I honestly couldn't be happier about the way that they are family oriented - in this respect!

This is the second time that they've accomodated his familial needs (once was a year and a half ago when my mom had major surgery and I was up closer to the marshfield terminal to help her with my two very small children, two cats, monster dog plus her two cats) for nearly a month. While I realize his request for his hometime be at the Marshfield Terminal really isn't a huge deal - do keep in mind that he was in Evo 2 at the the time. They asked him did he want to take some time off! I thought that was amazing! Of course he didn't - he just wanted to be able to be with the kids and give me a break.

I went through the same thing almost a year ago. Last October my wife's nephew's body was found after he had been missing for a month. I was already due home, but not only did they get me home, but gave me all the time I needed to be with the family. Less than a month later her dad passed away. I had just started my time out, they relayed me home and again told me to take all the time I needed. Brandon even suggested I take more time than I had planned.

We have had our issues over hometime, but they really came through when it counted.

    #### man! Sorry for your losses. That's a lot all at once and the build up to boot! Sux.

We've really not had any issues with home time. Ever - now that I think about it. And thus far they've been really good about getting him home - we'll see how it goes when delivery time hits - but I suspect that it'll be good to go. I will be posting when it happens for those that are interested in what goes on from the backside of things. :)
