TransAm Trucking, Inc. - Olathe, Ks.?

Honestly I can't find anything except about thier lease stuff.
I'm leaving tuesday to TRANS AM. Not a noobie to searching, I just can't a thing on them. kinda worried hahahahahaha any info is appreciated.

 

Leasing from any company is not a good idea. Trust me I know. My husband was in the lease purchase program with JB Hunt and we were financially ruined. Miles or not you still have to make all the payments. Paychecks of 66.00 and -54.00 were not uncommon. Be a company driver or if you have the big bucks buy your truck. Never, Never lease from a company. And with fuel prices on the rise again this is definitely not the time to lease. Good luck with your decision.

I'm also trying to get some info about Trans-Am. I'm about 90% sure I will go with them, but would really like to hear from somebody that is driving for them now. Give us the scoop on Trans-Am plz.

 

what a horrible 7 days, Flew into kansas city,MO on the 5th. The taxi picked me up at no cost and transam trucking set me up in a holiday inn in Olathe,kansas. 3 days of orientation. Meet up with my trainer on March 9th. after being 10 hours in a classroom

Meet up with the dude named Frog at the terminal. Can't leave until his truck gets fixed at the kenworth shop. ( Lease operator )He wrecked in a lady a few miles outside the company. That should have thrown a red flag to me, but i just wanted to get #### done. I said #### it i'm driving anyway and not deal with his excuse for being a moron. First load from olathe,KS is going to carteret, new jersey.
hauling ribbi and meats from TYSON.

He wants to go home just outside st. louis missouri for a little bit. thats fine as long as its not a long time. I leave the trailer in a small shopping plaza, put the king pin lock on it so nobody can steal the trailer. He jumps in the tractor and bobtails about 30 miles to his house. we get there and he asks his 12 year old son to get some batteries from the sleeper of the truck.

The son gets in the house, forgets 1 Battery and this dude goes #######, starts smacking the kid around. litteraly beating the #### out of him for something stupid. I immediately call trans am and tell them i want a new trainer. I hear be patient wait a few days. No i yell, get me a new trainer NOW!. ok we'll see who is around. No one is around they called me a few minutes later. Ok I'm takiing this load to new jersey ( about 950 miles away )and calling you for a dang new trainer.


The trainer says i'm sorry for you to see this, I said no i'm sorry your a ##*khead your not a man to me. Get this load to new jersey and i'm out of here. "what your leaving the company"?? No . your no excuse for being a trainer. words where exchanged and this dude is furious.

tension the whole way to new jersey. we get the load unloaded. I call up transam and demanded a new trainer. " im sorry non are available" the fleet manager told me.

. I'm driving to New Stanton, Pa and your employee frog will have to deliver this load to oklahoma for himself.

I had someone meet me in new stanton at 3am to take me home, I got home 30 miles away and didnt have to pay anything to get thier. and by luck got routed that way. only thing invested was $105 plane ticket to kansas from pittsburgh. but being rembursed


This trainer never did his log books, Slept 90% of the time, had a severe case of road rages.

theres plenty more to say, but its not worth putting it on here.

They put $200 on my comdata card and then blocked access to it.
So i have to wait until saturday to get a measely $200 check from them.

Finally said heck with it and going to US xpress

 

If you get the right fleet mgr things go well jackie i hear is the one to have not JACK GREENE they tell you in oreintation if you can't get along with your fleet mgr you need to find another job getting along is not the problem! not doing their job is!!!!!!

That's who I have now. I got a new fleet manager. I can say that Jackie has a supurb level of communication.
