Uhm, no, no, and no.
Cb and HAM are on very different bands. CB I think (dont quote as I may be wrong) is 11 meters. 10 meters is sort of the bridge between cb and ham, you have to have a license to run anything other than CB. Export radios are not true ham radios for many reasons, one being that HAM radios do not have a channel knob, they go by frequency.
If you are looking at getting your HAM card you'll want to keep the set-ups separate. Meaning 2 different radios. Many HAMs dont actually talk on 10m anyway.
Oh, and for linears try these.

to name a few.
There are several things to consider when getting an amp. Power, SSB capability, Preamp, etc. Just do your research.

I've used my 2970DX on both 10 and 11 meter SSB with good audio reports, same goes for my FT-101E.....just watch your swr's your making quite a jump in frequency from 11 to 10 meter..

I own and export and use it everyday, however, I stay on the CB band and use it for that and side band. -
Why do you need more radio than you can hear. The problem with amps and cranking everything all the way up is the people your annoying you can not hear even on a good day, no point waste of money.
Make you radio loud and clear, with the point of clear... Key low with a swing fine, but theres not talent involved with proving that you willing to spend more of your hard earned money on what is of no benefit to you.
On the road hear it all the time, 100, 200 500 watts and there talking to the truck 50 feet away. At which point I'll slide on to a harmonic and temporary relieve you of the burden of hearing. Get real save your money for something useful to you.
When selecting a tech, if his idea of a service monitor is a SWR /WATT meter, move on, this guy is a chrome polisher. Just because he has a hot soldering iron means nothing. Tekk them you want all the CLEAN audio it will produce, CLEAN. No spurs, no square wave. If he does not know what square wave is then run, and take your radio with you. -

While a minority opinion, I do not believe in modifying the CB radio simply because I do not trust some hammer fisted tech not to screw up a perfectly good radio. Techs are not required to have a license to fix or alter a CB radio. That makes me a little leary of handing over my CB to someone else.
.
First, when you want longer range, the radio is not likely to be the problem. The antenna is the most important component for distance. Nothing else even comes close. I suggest you look at a higher price and capablity antenna. Have you looked into antennas like the K40, Predator 10K, Wilson, Monkey Made or a skip shooter?
.
Secondly, when you want longer range the coax is not usually a problem. If you go with a linear amplifier, the coax will require an upgrade because of the much higher output signal. Without a linear amplifier, upgrading the coax is not usually cost effective due to the short length of coax used in a big rig.
.
Just my 2 cents worth. -
???? If no one will know and it is not needed for the contact why bother using it ????
