hey all ... well I'm just chillin trying to relax .... found out yesterday from my from my doctor via my health insurance company that I have been terminated by SNI as of Aug 6. Reason for termination is medically disqualified. Policy now is that SNI will only carry a driver on medical leave for 60 days. Once (if) I get clearance to drive, I can reapply. I was originally told that I would be on medical leave until May of 2011 and my health insurance would stay in effect as long as I paid my share (weekly deduction). I was to go into the hospital next monday for tests but had to cancel because of no insurance. I have to wait for termination letter to see if I can afford the COBRA health insurance.

Hope all is going well with everyone .... be safe....

    difference-maker Thanks this.

If you have no insurance call the hospital and ask for patient accounts. All hospital have a financial policy that will forgive your charges if you fall into their guidelines for that help. Check it out and for God's sake get the medical help you need. I have been without insurance for 2 years because I can't get any due to previous medical conditions. There is help out there look for it and take care of yourself.

In Tennessee, what used to be called medicaid is now called Tenncare and one of the things they expanded was coverage for folks without private insurance who become temporarily disabled and can't work. If I remember you were gonna eventually move to TN, but this happened before you moved. One of the things that triggers this coverage is official notification that your insurance is cancelled. I hope there is something like that available for you. :frown:

    Prayin for you G

Can any of you SNI drivers give me any info on the Regional gig? What type of miles are the regional guys averaging? A friend of mine is interested in running out of the Charlotte OC/ Thanks in advance for any and all info.

I'd like to know what they're saying now as well. When I was there, I kept hearing "Regional" this, that, and the other thing. Seemed there was only two regions, East, and West. I'd heard regional being a 500 mile radius from your home OC. But I won't swear to that!:biggrin_25525:

I too don't know anything about rail. However if you can get a hold of a Don Brown at the Edwardsville, Il. terminal he can probably give you more info. He was in that division before becoming an instructor.
