cpape,
I have read every post you have on this thread and your company is exactly what I'm looking for, small, no b/s, straight answers and respect for driver's home time. Unfortunately, I'm a little too far out of your hiring area, sw MO. If I were closer though I would be in your office daily until you called the law on me or hired me. I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts and wish you nothing but the best for yourself and your company.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Thanks Wildhorse--I am really enjoying this forum. It reminds me a lot of the way I learned about trucking. I never held my CDL or drove over the road. I learned all that I know about load securement, placement, etc. by listening to my drivers or making them explain things to me. Now I am learning about the rest of the driver population while posting here. Best of luck to you!

I would like to know more. I live in Arkansas. I have my TWIC card and T,X endorsements.

Thanks for the Interest Deamondawg, but the only way I could entertain Arkansas is if you owned your own truck & didn't care if you got home.

Cpape, would Pape consider hiring from the Roanoke, VA area? Thanks.
-
No, I am sorry Roanoke is outside our hiring area. For company drivers, you would have to live in IA (Northeast of 35-18-218-380-80) IL (North of 74), IN (North of 74-70), or OH (North of 70). Portions of MN, WI, PA, and MD may also be considered. Anyone willing/able to drive to our Dubuque or Waterloo terminals would also be considered. I would be more flexible with indpendent contractors depending on their home time requirements.

Hey cpape, hows goes the driver hunt?
I'm having a blast here with W/S. It's a serious, hard lined, fast paced info overload 10 day gig but it's great! Today is day two.
I know you're busy but if you have the time, check out my thread on the whole deal I'm experienceing. We both mentioned staying in touch so this may be a good way for you to "keep your eye on me"...LOL
