I am still working on troubleshooting this but discovered something that is unique to the Detroit's...

This round black/brass sensor in the center with the ORANGE and BLACK wires is the cruise brake-switch cutout. The orange wire was virtually falling off the sensor and that will cause my symptoms for sure. I am replacing this sensor (along with the rest of them) as I think at least 1 of them leaks. Once I replace the sensor i will loctite the wires and maybe that will fix my intermittent cruise. I mean I have checked everything else.

I came across this while searching for air leaks, which I think I have narrowed down to the low PSI sensor on the primary (GREEN) air manifold.

Fixed. Here was the culprit...Its a little black/brass pressure sending unit on the spring brake air supply system. It was also causing an air leak (another thread of mine) that took me forever and a day to find. Drove 100miles and cruise never kicked out, so I feel I got it. The part at KW was $18.

This thing was buried. I only saw it when I took all of the dash panels out and happened to see the sun hit a white tag on a wire that connects up
to this piece of #### .....
