Don't most of the guys in the tractor trailers run team though where you guys are solo?

RRBD is telling it like it is, as far as dumping the tank on the move I would never do it. my bus dumped out on the right side in front of the gen which sat next to the drive-tag axle leaving the bus a stinking mess, most of the time gigs were lined up to be within a reasonable driving distance, but the cleaning-servicing-babysitting of the group was trying at times. winter is the off season for my deal so take that into consideration. BTW I was with Coast to Coast Coach.

Fortunately for me my company is one of the oldest and biggest in the business so i am able to work all year if i really want to but i usually take off in the winter, Slam Bang you must have had it rough over there working for Sandy & Steve, lol I have a few more shows left on this then i am off for a week.

all that triple digit speeding gonna stop when ya all kill somebody, I just hope its not someone that I know who is killed. who cares if the band is late to a "gig", share the road, there are too many idiots in 4 wheelers to contend with , we don't need giant tour buses speeding up and down the highway too.
-
Ok, then in that case, we dont need chicken trucks, cow trucks, or tank trucks speeding down the highway, its not just us, and i will be more than glad to let the band be late if you want to pay the fine for having them there late, its only about 20% of the contract for the night, and that runs into quite a few grand depending on who you are driving for.
-
Oh and who cares if the band is late, at times it can be as many as about 40,000 people.....

R&RBD, question for you. Do you have to live within a certain area to get a job with your company? Also, what kind of experience is needed? I will have 3 years under my belt on the 17th of this month. Thanks for the info and sorry about the idiots who wanted to derail this thread.
-
Dj, to work for my company you have to have at least 10 years in an entertainer coach, there are other companies out there who do not require that much time, as far as where you live, you just have to pay for your flight or travel to get to the company to pick up a bus when you go out, you will never be able to take a bus home like a truck. hope that answers your question.
