New CPAP!

    Well, I've had my third new CPAP for a couple of nights now! They keep getting better all the time! They keep designing new features and new types of masks. I know that a lot of it is just marketing, but when I compare this machine with the first one I had, it is like night and day!:yes2557:

    There are four major manufacturs of CPAP that are marketing to trucking.

    ResMed, Phillips-Respironics, Fisher-Paykel, and Devilbiss.

    Each manufacturer has several models. Some models would work well for a truck driver.. other won't.

    Masks - there are probably more than 30 different styles of CPAP mask on the market. Ranging from nasal pillows full face masks to a new cloth mask for people who have allergic reactions to the silicone or latex in normal masks.

    sorting out the marketing from the real differences is a problem.

    search on the internet.. there are support groups for people with sleep apnea.. and a support group for truck drivers with sleep apnea...(Truckers for a Cause - A. W. A. K. E.) that can be sources for more information.
