Any current or recent TL drivers? I have been talking to a recruiter. I know forced dispatch. It is more per mile than I get know. Less drop and hook. That may change how many miles you get?
Give us the good and the bad!

Straight up
I have been with companey for to long . ITs not perfect but better than otheres . YOu have good benfits . IF you need something fixed on the truck or trailor you are not sitting on the side of the road for hours . They will have some one fix your truck with in a hour . If you have to call for anything your not on hold for hours waiting . The trucks are taking care of very well . IF you see anything that needs to be fixed it gets fixed in a good time frame .
You are treated very well.
Far as dispatch goes very nice people just dont complaine or yell to much or you will loose miles and sit .
Dont be late at all . If you are running late make sure you call and give them a reason why . Its a quick way out there door no doubt. They are strict on lates and wrecks . You have to avoid wrecks at all cost take the time to get out and look dont take any chances or you will be out the door no doubt . YOu have to watch your MPg to . As a over all companey I am happy here very much .
I hope this helped you out -
Thanks Twizzler. I am surprized there isn't that many drivers on here talking about ConWay. They must be pretty happy.

If I can get on with the LTL side I am going to try that. The recruiter called me and we talked. He is a driver named Bob G. His partner called me twice and I haven't returned the calls yet. I told him I was more inclined to go local as my GF and I came to the conclusion that she doesn't want to drive OTR and giive up her teaching job. Plus she really missed the grand kids for the 2 and 1 weeks she rode with me.
Bob told me if I went with TL that if I applied to the LTL side that I would be but not guaranteed to be first in line.
AFA the tax man (back taxes) OTR is better as lots of deductions being OTR.
If I have to stay OTR for a year I will probably quit my present job. I am getting the miles, getting along pretty good, good equipment. Lots of drop and hook.
I might be better off going with the TL if the LTL doesn't hire me right away. -
CFI/conway truckload was the worst mistake I ever made.Go with the ltl if you can.

If the pay is better than where I am at now? I think it might be significantly better.
And no ######## about idle because you have a APU? I am OK with that. -
Only a few of the truckload trucks have APU and they have fired drivers with several years with the company for not meeting mileage requirements.

Seems like I never see a Conway guy walking around to get to talk to them. I did talk to one ex Conway guy. He said he got fired "violating company policy." they told him to reapply in 6 months. He did. They rejected him because of new hiring standards. He had a felony in the distant past. Still said he would go back there in a heart beat. -
Don't listen to me listen to him. When you go to orientation with 20 or 30 new hires that means that many left the week before because it was so good.
-
How many drivers do they employ? What's the attrition rate? They have what, 2 terminals? JAX and Joplin?
My present employer has that every week at multiple locations, 10,000+ drivers
When did you leave there? Howw long were you there? Why did you leave?
