And those BCO are not talking the hole truth, after days in a parking lot(or pull cheap loads or just barely pays for expensive,or worst,if that)and after tons of empty miles and nerve plus fuel burn into the parking lot, comes LANDSTAR PIECE OF CRAP and charge de BCO 65% plus other fees.
So,its that the way to make a decent buck?
Oh yeah, the truth its more to be revealed about L/S crappy co.
In time, people will tell the truth, only the time will show the real story.![]()

Was never at LS, but was at another "open board" operation. One of the Mason-Dixon sister companies. There were differences and similarities with LS. Talked with a lot of their guys. Some making cubic money, driving a nice truck. Some loosin their bleep, driving a POS. Same as where I was. You gotta get in good with a few agents, and even with them, pick loads carefully. If you go into a dead area, get your money (in and out) on the inbound load or don't go. simple as that. In other words, you gotta be a full grown business man or woman. Idjits who think of trucking as a "lifestyle" should not apply. It's a business.

I agree, its time to tell the truth. Its also time to man up.
At Landstar you pick your own loads. So this means if you take a load to a slow area............ ITS YOUR FAULT.
Landstar never claims to hold your hand.
So man up, accept the fact that you couldn't make it on your own, that you need some one to hold your hand to make truck ownership work and get on with life. Its beyond tiring to see you here trolling and only telling part of the story.
If you can't add some thing of value to the discussion then keep it to yourself.
My dad always told me, "its better to be THOUGHT a fool, than to open your mouth and REMOVE ALL DOUBT."dangerous dave and JimTheHut Thank this. -

Does anyone on here have any experience on the flatbed side?
When people say they are doing fine, what does that mean?
Can you net $100,000 with Landstar?
Thanks! -

If I was able to pay myself $100,000 profit per yr after taxes at Landstar I'd still be there, I'd still be driving truck. I'd have long ago paid off my house, mama's car, my pickup etc etc etc etc.
Does that answer your question?
