Have a safe trip up there. No doubt I'll here about someone seeing a Giltner truck after you pass through.

I'm heading to Vegas for the weekend. Spend the check before I get it.

I came through Oregon on 97. Saw a few fellow Giltners heading South. Still no preplan so dont know where I am headed after I deliver at 0445 am. It should be down to Jerome though, to do something with this truck.

No matter how many yrs you have in driving experience, first few trips out with a new company is like that old Madonna song (Like a Virgin!):biggrin_2559:

Sitting in Moses Lake Washington waiting to go down to Othello for an afternoon pickup of a load that will take me home for a few days.

Will put me at 9000 miles for the month. I had some days off and a couple of short runs but for a regional guy I can live with it.

Swore i'd never reaply to a former company that i'd driven for. However after the state of affairs with the economy going south in our country, well,i;ve decided to give it a crack tdy.I ran for GILTNER INC (PROGRESSIVE LOGISTICS) out of Jerome,ID from 06/01-01/05.Only reason i left was the fact i was getting married, lived in PORTLAND,OR.(commieville, usa)and wanted to have a life again after doing OTR for 11+yrs.Basicaly living totaly outta trks throughout my OTR career.Took up local drvg in portland/metro area until economy dump/Hrs cutbk in july/09.Been outta work since.Economy here in OR. SUCKS,Sitting on 10.5% unemployed and rising.SOOOO,tdy filled out full blown application on the web and reaplied. Was never mistreated at GILTNER INC as a company drvr.Left on the proper terms in 05.Gave notice,no abandoned equipt,no owed monies to Giltner inc.Recieved an Email stateing to contact for further dialogue.Am sure things have changed some since i was there, but, like i said, have never reapplied to any former company before.SO,even with a few other companies ( SRT/WERNER/SWIFT/Gordon/INTERSTATE,ECT.)still as possible options,is it wise to go back to a former employer???My total 15yrs in trkg, both OTR & LOCAL drvg with a combined 1.6 million + clean/safe record being my strongest asset to any company i pull for is a little tempered with the fact that I've never ever gone back to former employer.Need to get back to work soon, would this be a MISTAKE?I really liked working there for the most part, but things do change!Need input please, suppose to talk sometime on monday.Any current GILTNER INC drivers comments welcomed.Be SAFE everybody.:biggrin_25524::biggrin_2556::biggrin_25524:

As far as I know, they only hire as far East as Texas. And, the truth be told, I dont work for them anymore. We had some h.o.s. issues and I was offered a job elsewhere and I took it. Im now working for a manufacturer and part of a team that does the test driving for their Engineering Division. Just finished an HVAC test series and I am at home for a week or so enjoying some time off.
