I asked about the team showers yesterday at two different pilots, at another this morning and was told the same thing by all: If you're using a free shower from your card the team shower is also free but if you're paying for the shower then you pay for both.

It'll be a cold day before I stop at a PeelotJ for any thing other than pay at the pump fuel.
On a recent 4 wheeler trip the wife and I stopped at 2 different Js. This is my first experience with the Js since the take over.
Sure enough, Peelot has them ruined. LONG lines at the fuel desk isn't the word for it!!!! Only 2 cashiers at both places with the lines 8+ deep to pay. Its ridiculous!!!!!!!! -
I quit fueling at pilot for a couple of reasons.
1. I dont like thier fuel recipts.
2. They tend to attract the rookie drivers, slots of swift, schnider and JB hunt at pilot.
3. I dont like how often times you go into one and there will be no one at the diesel desk and 2 or 3 people working the 4 wheeler counter, and you have to wait for 10 minutes to get a fuel recipt.
About the only one I would stop at was the one in Anthony Texas, that is simply because they usually had parking when the J didnt.
I will say also that im not a huge flying J fan. I have been in plenty of J's that were so filthy id walk back out, the one in stockton CA for example.
But then again, I have seen few that are as big of a sweltering doodoo hole as the TA in LA. -
I'll have y'all know I am parked at what is surely to be considered one of the truly great Pilots:
Cambridge, OH.

R.O.C.E. is return on capital expenditures meaning I want my note plus 12% . ( or 1% / mo. in cash or value )
Investors don't have a say, they vote with the buy or sell of their stock unless they own 51 or more percent of the shares.
These are reasonable expectations and are accepted in the bus. community everyday.
that help? -
All the Flying J's are in the process of converting to the Pilot computer system and those that didn't yet, are still taking the J card. Those that did are having trouble at first with the J card but will give you a Pilot card and even load some points on, so you can have a shower. My store is taking both and all the stores are supposed to, by now. We have a driver's kiosk on the counter, where you can print your receipt, check your points or get a shower, so you don't have to wait in line. If you need help with any of that, we are glad to give you a hand. From reading these posts, it sounds like not every store is as nice as ours, but I hear that from our customers as well. Unfortunately lately things have been very stressful and I am sorry, it's so difficult for you guys right now. One final note, if there is a question one which card to use, just call from the pump to the fuel desk and ask, before you fuel.Ops85 Thanks this. -
So here I am , a small one truck company, paying more for fuel. $100 more a week now, so I can compete with the bottom feeders who get a discount. These bottom feeders can already buy a truck so cheap, that they can run it six months, and sell it for the price they paid to a guy like me. They're under warranty, self insured, and even get parts cheaper. Try to compete with that. There are ways, but you have to be crafty. I lasted longer than most in my field till the recession.
If that isn't bad enough, the they're trying to get as many illegals in trucks as they can to drive wages even lower. Ever noticed how some big companies like Werner don't care if you have a Hazmat anymore? Illegals can't pass the Homeland Security background check is why.
I personally believe that CSA 2010 will be used to enforce the Mexican Truck driver provision in NAFTA. When thousands of truck drivers loose their job due to CSA 2010 health disqualifications, there will be a huge need for drivers. What better time to enact horrible laws, than in a crisis?
I can see it now: "We need drivers now, people are starving!"
I try not to get political here, but these mergers in: Truck Stops, Oil Companies like Exxon/Mobile, Communications, the Walmartization of America, and policies like NAFTA, Amnesty , Chinese most favored nation status, get forced down the American worker's throat no matter which party is in control, and in total disregard to what the voters want.
All that matters to them is the investor class, and lobbyists for these monopolies who represent them, and the campaign money that flows into their election campaigns. They are selling us out for their political power.
To be truly pro business would be to break these monopolies up, and have fair trade, not free trade with slave wage competitors. Then all businesses, including Mom and Pop, and Manufacturing would have a chance.
This is why I'm only voting for Fair Trade/Tea Party Approved type candidates, if there isn't one on the ballot, then I don't vote in that category like when they gave me the choice of that Pro AMNESTY/PRO NAFTA RINO McCain OR our current Spending Spree socialist in Chief
