I take meds to control blood pressure and depression. They say not to drive while taking them but they have no affect on my driving whatsoever. If I have a Dr. statement stating they do not hinder my driving ability, would they take that into consideration?
will these meds pass?

ah that is always up to interpretation from the company and the insurance people....I wouldn't want to tell you something and have it be wrong.....I know there are drivers on anti depressants and bp meds etc... if you have to have them and they are not detrimental to your abilities then I would think you have a chance ....but I can't really say one way or the other driver....good luck to ya be safe
JustSonny Thanks this. -
Many meds for a multitude of ailments say that. I think that if only one or two people have had bad experiences, then the FDA is going to put that warning out there. This is not to say that you shouldn't get ALL your ducks in a row before spending time and money on school, etc. Get every bit of documentation you can from your doctor. I take medicine for HBP. No problems. The antidepressive is another story. As Nik said, there are many drivers who take antidepressives. But, don't half-step this!rocknroll nik Thanks this.

Thanks, I will talk to my doctor and get the documentation. If need be I can quit taking the antidepressant. The blood pressure meds have got to stay....it's in the family genes, well controlled by the meds.
