I was wondering if Prime will deny my application to train for a CDL because my jobs have been so short and crappy. I have a clean driving record and everything but my work history is very fragmented due to low-paying jobs and unemployment. I already talked to a recruiter and my friend that I used for a reference works for them.

Sorry for making a new thread about this. Its just that I'm worried. I really want a CDL.

They may take some time looking it over.
Make sure you have any and all documentation you can find. Stubs from unemployment, or recepts they sent you when you sent in your info for the week etc.
They cannot have any time not accounted for in the past 10 years. This is a DOT rule. So you really need to start getting it all together. Make sure you are totally honest with them.
    Good luck.

Dear Miss IronFreakinMaiden that all depends upon how many other applicants they get if theres 100's and 100's and they've got more impressive CV's to look at then you may get put at the end of the pile sorry to give you bad news but thats just how an employer would see it.

How crappy are we talking about? Crappy like having a job for two weeks, quitting and then getting another job for two weeks? Or crappy like had a job for six or eight months, season ended and got another job for six or eight months? There are different degrees of crappy. It all depends on where you fall on the crappy scale as to how much weight it will hold with Prime.

It's definitely not going to hurt to try! Sure isn't the only company out there either. Over 450,000 trucking companies in the US, somebodies going to want you! Driver have faith in yourself. Little tip: Do something to make yourself stand out from the other shlubs. Good luck to you.
