Davis Express, Inc. - Starke, FL.?

I live in Tallahassee, and I see them regularly, and they're always running, not sitting at the pilot for days at a time. I work for Pritchett out of Lake Butler which basically neighbors Starke where Davis is out of. I-10 is littered with Davis trucks rolling steady on a daily basis, and my observations of their drivers are positive, very well kept, seem like an older crowd, and their equipment looks to be well maintained, but hey I'm probably just stating the obvious here, from the outside looking in they seem like a good outfit.

 

Davis is a good outfit from what I know never worked there but my dad did for many years before going O/O. Like it was said in an earlier post they run at night and get good home time. They are very considerate of family and time when it's needed. They kleep their trucks up to acceptable levels for driver comfort. Good christian family organization.

 

What kind of miles are you Davis drivers averaging now a days with the e-logs? Think I'm going to toss in an application, and see where it goes. I live in Jax so it will be close to home. Any help with what the avg miles are would help. Thx

 

you can average around 2400 miles a week some times less, but living in jax you would be goin by the house often. i spent alot of time here at publix waiting to pull out at nite goin to the panhandle. davis is not for everyone but is a good company to work for. let me know if you got anymore questions

 

Thats good to hear cjhammen. They called me yesterday to do a roadtest. I told them I wld get their as soon as I could. Being I'm out on the road right now. They said I could come in any time. Even in my trk if I get a lod going by the yard in Starke. What's the roadtest like? With 2400 miles a week that good especially if there are some store deliveries in there to get some extra money. I hate to ask this and if u don't want to answer it cjhammen I understand. What are u bringing home a week on the average? I hope to see u when I get there. What's ur trk number I'll be sure to say hello. Thx for the info. If u can think of more stuff let me know. I've found out in my 11 hrs of driving. The more info u have going in the better.

we are interested in more info about them for same reason as above. we live close to them. and currently are working for dart.
so....any info besides ave mentioned on them?

 

I am going to do my driving test this week.Does anyone have any info on them?What little is on here about them sounds good to me.
