I got a story for you but it happened 10 years ago from kreildump. The first week I started there I had the transmission go out in fort wayne. They put me in a hotel for a week just waiting for the tranny to get fixed. ok fine I didn't see a problem at that time. I finally get back to the terminal at the end of the following week and the shop manager John K's son rips me a new one for damaging the truck. Still to this day I do know what I did to the truck but whatever. The following week they blamed me for a flat tire. 2 weeks after that they blamed me as a regional driver for a New york load not making it on time which I never even touched. Then John K's other son which was in dispatch at the time decided I was too confrontational and wouldn't dispatch me anymore. yes I did yell when I got yelled at and twice it was in front of his mother. I refused to let anyone bad mouth me your mother standing their or anyone elses either. I now have my own authority so all corporations can kiss my back side cause I don't work hard to get stress for pay. evey have a fine ride and a safe day... er safe ride and afine day either way

10 or 15 years ago, back when they had real trucks, I, and one of their drivers were standing at a dock in NJ. Through small talk, the driver made mention of Kreilcamps policy to bring back or show some evidence of whatever was reponsible for any damage. So, he goes on to tell me that one time while in Pa, he hit a deer, smucking up the front end a little. So he tossed the dead deer into the spare tire rack under the trailer and drug it back to the yard in Wisconsin. They were none to impressed. LMAO at that story every time I think of it.

There was a Kreilkamp reefer trailer on it's side Monday morning, just east of Shipshewana, Indiana. There are 2 bad curves on US 20 there, about once a month, someone misses a curve, and lays one over. Monday was a Kreilkamp drivers turn.
-
Those turns on that piece of hwy 20 are indeed sharpy-curvy.
Still no excuse for laying a rig over, IMO. Read the signs forwarning of said curves. And heed them. -
During orientation drivers are told that 2000 miles per week with KK is very easy, also the medical insurance is based off this average. After 3 months i noticed my insurance went from $87 a week to a little over $200 a week. Without any warning from KK. Also was told that i HAD to buy thier load locks at $26 each and in the event of separation they would be bought back by the company. Well i got tired of the lies and deception and separated, Come to find out that, after 1 1/2 months of constant messaging them, they only pay you back $13 each for the load locks. And if you dispute it they tell you fine, get them out of here within 30 days or we keep them. And Mileage now, is barely 1500 per week, and thats with begging and no home time.

Huh....
2800 this week 5 days
Previous weeks
2650 5 days
2900 5.5 days
3350 5.5 days
btw....July & August are our slow months.
Unfortunately, they have to bribe 2000 miles out of a driver with lesser rate on insurance.
You were told you needed to have load bars. What driver doesn't own load bars? You can buy new bars through them at their price of $26 or the same one in a truck stop is $40
When you buy them, they're yours.
Did you really think they're gonna buy them back for new price?
Don't get me wrong. They have their flaws, but there's obviously two sides to this storyMilwaukeeTrucker Thanks this. -
I worked for Kreilkamp about 10 years ago...I was in Union/ Edison...what a joke the company is. I can tell you some wild things about them considering I was a supervisor there. Anyone who drove for them years back out there?
-
You probably know me. Had the Yellow Pete with the Stainless spread at that time.

I probably do...some drivers I knew : Arnie Struss
