You think leaving a can of coffee beans in the trailer could get rid of the smell? I know some have used this for getting the smell out of a cab.

Wiseguy3501, Man you have a good attitude.... I hope when I get a chance to experience totally bizarre happenings like you have just went through I too will pass miles of piles with smiles... (It helps to have a war chest stocked full of CASH $$$$$) I see .... Delays, Service needed to tractor, miss communication, and a learning curve (Mine not yours) will be sure to test me.... Is this normal activity with dispatch? It seems like it's a out of control situation at times.... I just don't know what to expect when it's my turn... I'm learning from your adventures. Thanks for the painful read.... It seems at times things will go wrong.... Perhaps this is the nature of the new beast I am up against now... In Printing it was my internal suppliers (Plates,INK,PAPER, and co-workers) all screwing up and now it looks like its external circumstances you can't really fight.... Just have to roll with it it seems... Keep a cool head and make inelegant conversation with the gods that be... I'll buy you lunch for this post when I see you ..... What ever you can eat in 1 setting... Hahahahaha.. There, I hope I made you feel better my friend.. Keep up the good fight Sir... I'm coming out soon....:Plane:

Well, back home finally. After the long ### round out it is much needed. Gonna be here till Sunday morning.

Anyways, I can't complain too much about anything. Its all a matter of getting used to the little issues that come along. For instance, I sat in Oak Creek, WI for several hours because they needed to fax a paper that verified the license on the truck(plate is missing). I took it in stride and chilled in the sleeper watching movies.

However, after all the mess, I'm estimating that I'll have 3600 miles coming on my next paycheck....will be a nice one.

at least you are steady getting miles. I'm not getting much. I am trying to stay positive and hopeful that things are going to get better. Some things are nobodies fault, but its time to RUUUUUNNNNN!!!

Keep a good attitude if things are the same as they were for me I got a bunch of short runs while in EVO3 then after I got on the regular dispatch miles per trip picked up a bunch. Had a mediocore previous week (2581 + Canada pay) after a nice 3260 week and this week will be 3031. Only bad thing is this is the first time I have requested to get home on a day and I will not make it. Don't have enough hours to get home tomorrow so will probably just go ahead and finish out this trip and hope to get something going through the house after that.

I leave for Marshfield not soon enough.... I will meet up with you Wiseguy at school. I am so ready for this..... Bags are packed and by the door but I have to wait a little more.... Extended weather looks like it's going to be nice to start. I have 2 days to myself before classes starts on Tuesday morning. I'll get the lay of the land and make the pilgrimage to Walmart and to the school site. I'll keep a lookout for Joe and you. To keep in thread, I'll keep a positive attitude when I find out I can't down shift like I think I can.... I can't post personal messages yet due to my lac of public posts. Soon. Thanks all and the count down continues for Belly. :biggrin_25521:

Well I might be able to run into ya, odds are I'll be leaving out of Marshfield the Sunday that you arrive. Dunno for sure tho. Will have to see.

Anyways, as long as you can pass the prework physical you will do fine. Its all simple stuff, just a matter of figuring out how to do it. As for downshifting, watch the tach, around 1000 rpm and lower is good for your downshift. Once I figured out to watch the tach I was golden with downshifting. Then it will come to you just listening to the engine.

    Anyways, best of luck!

I dropped the bomb at work tonight.... "I'm all through with Printing". I announced to the crew... "Monday evening I am a "X" printer....." They were all SHOCKED!!!! I was asked by everyone "What you going to do Belleye?" I just replied: " You all know me rite?" " I don't do ANYTHING 1/2 ### rite?" "I'm either ALL-IN or I don't do it rite?" they all just shook their head yes.... I turned and walked away smiling and never said a word..... Let them all wonder what a winner does for satisfaction in his work place, as to they all just lost a driving force in their print shop.... I'm moving on to find my satisfaction.... I now will reflect MYSELF and serve Myself (and Co.) to the highest standard I can achieve.... Circumstances will now beat me not the lac luster slugs and slackers in the shop... It's hard to soar with eagles when your flocking with pidgins.... I'm busting out... I now will face my greatest challenge and rise up from the uninformed and untrained into a positive force in the transportation realm. I'm headed (1) way.... (learning how to shift) hahahahaha... I'm taking it seriously but sometimes I kill myself, it's OK... I can laugh at myself as well... I QUIT tonight... My boss was devastated.... Now............ Now its all STUDENT TIME..... Come on Sunday Morning and the big JET LINER.... It's quite Ironic... I'm flying out on a A320.... Just like the one I built here at home.... Check out my Pic's in my albums... If anything goes wrong I can FLY IT!!! but driving a 18 wheeler is still in the realm of "He needs to LEARN"... :) Chat soon good people... Yes... I am 25 years DONE with printing... Monday evening will be my LAST Press RUN..... I'll keep a copy for the glass wall case.... I performed BRILLANTLY.... BRAVO BELLEYE!!!! I'm satisfied I'm one of the best and made it to the top of Lithography so now my friends it's time to say good night, farewell, tootaloo, saran-ado ,chow, and good bye... "Hey, don't forget to turn off the Ink PUMPS!!!! . I learned that one the hard way too... Trucking here I come!!!! Much to master,,, I value everyone's opinion and learn something from every point of view someone offers. I'm now ALL EARS and EYES and smells too.... Did I mention Vibrations? Chat soon...:biggrin_2559:

Well, back in Marshfield. Just got off home time and got sent here to go through load securement training(starting wed) and get my flatbed truck. Besides some possible local runs for the next two days, I should be here all week.

My hopes at this point are that I still get a decent truck. This one has served me well, not to mention spoiled me, so getting a heap that this point would suck. We'll see tho.
