Any professional fog light installation needs a relay. This saves on running heavy wire to the on/off switch and prevents a voltage drop from the long wire run.
This way you can run from the battery to a relay nearby to the fog lights. Then use smaller wire to go to your on/off switch inside the cab to the relay to energize it. The fog light kit I bought for my car had the relay in the kit.
Most states require you power the relay from your low beams. -
KW has a built in harness for all of this.
I have the switch installed (Factory) and relay installed (Factory) and all I need is to install the lights and solder the + lead.
Wiring is the least of my issues, since it's already setup for me- -
Well so much for this idea.
The hole in the bumper is at 1.5". I need about 2.5" away from the front.
I do not have enough room on the lip of the bumper edge to drill another hole and have it clean right.
Installing a flat stock work work either, Unless I mount it from under the bumper, since it will raise the geometry of the mount of the light...and put it out of alignment.
This bumper wasnt made for a fog/driving light that seems to exist anywhere. -
you can swivel that light tho right?
sometimes you have to get kinda creative mounting things square peg in the round hole syndrome -
yea but I have played with it until I am blue in the face ->

I took measurements and realized it isnt gonna fit w/o additional hardware and additional engineering. So I gave up...
