Not a whole lot, except they only run out of certain terminals. A lot of yards, mine included, don't have any flatbeds domociled there.
The last time I was on the web site, it mentioned flatbed openings, but I don't remember where.
Just go to averitt/careers and click on your state.

Why don't you just get an old clunker of a car, drive into the Averitt truck, and get your lawyer to sue them for your obvious whiplash and inability to ever work again; not to mention pain and suffering, erectile dysfunction, headaches, nausea (at the thought of working again) et al, et al. It will be quicker to cash in and you and your ambulance chaser lawyer can enjoy the return on investment much sooner, and you eliminate all that paper trail you would have to keep up with. What'd think?

It looks like you're in NC. I see openings in these places in the southeast.
Come to think of it, I don't recall ever seeing a flatbed at a NC yard, but doesn't mean it won't ever happen.

averitt must have took over AK Steel in Middletown OH. advertising for dedicated f/b drivers almost everywhere for that run.

king david, they are advertising for f/b drivers in Asheville. don't know how far away that is from you. might be worth a try.

    cheers

Well my interview is Friday morning in Decatur Alabama. She said it will be a web cam interview. Never been through anything like that before. What can I expect just a bunch of the usual questions? Also do the trucks have qualcom in them? I have never used electronic logs either so that will be something new to get used to. I read about the facial hair but can I at least keep my mustache?

You will just be sitting in front of a computer looking at somebody on the monitor looking at you.
She just asked me to describe what I had been doing before, how I liked to run, stuff like that.
I think the idea is you can tell a lot more about somebody talking to him, then you can going by what he wrote on a piece of paper.
I never had a Quallcom before I came here and it took me a while to get comfortable with it, but they were patient with me.
Only a few of us have electronic logs. That is only on the very newest batch of trucks. I hope to stay in this '07 for a good while longer.
    And yes, moustache is fine.
