Does anyone know much about Maverick trucking company and TMC trucking company? If so, which one is an overall better company? Which one is more safe oriented and more respect for their drivers? I thank you for any information. I really enjoy reading on these forums. Big help.

I've never driven for either of them but from what I hear Maverick is the better of the two. There is a TON of info on both of these companies on this forum, look through some of it and decide which one will suit you better.

    Good Luck!

I thank ya for your responses and help. I can stay on here for awhile reading and reading. There is so much research to see which company is good for me. I have 5 more weeks of driving school and have sent application to some driving companies already. sent to stevens, werner, and kllm. Just coming up with questions to ask the recruiters and seeing which company pays better, gets better miles per week, benefits and etc.

I looked at the FMCSA's SafeStat and only found Maverick. Maybe TMC is listed under a different name and if anyone could help that would be great. At Maverrick they show an overall score for drivers at 43.98 and for vehicles a 24.96 which is good. It tells me the drivers and the company take good care of their trucks. The driver's score is above average but not by much.

One item that raised my eyebrows was the history back in a 6 month period in 09. They dropped 125 trucks and a 235 drivers. That's tells me when they set out to cut cost the trucks and drivers are to go. But that's only my assumption and there could be many reasons for the drop. Other than that they've stayed pretty much even.

You need someone to find TMC on SafeStat so we can take a look, but I would bet their numbers are not close judging by some of the responses from this board. Just remember YOU have to be satisfied with the job and no one else.
