Ask A May Trainer

Good post but the bottom line most need to answer is what does one consider a good living?

Me being single with no kids might think a good living is a lot less than someone with a family.

btw did you get on with May?

On a side note anyone know if they hire out of GA?

 

You would have to live very close to the Pensacola terminal
to make it work for you. Cant take truck home for your H/T.

 

I'm not sure who you're directing this answer to (wulfman or banjer picker) but I'd sure like to know who you were answering. I have an application ready to go for MAY, and my driving school is located in Austell, GA (west of Atlanta).

This school offers up MAY applications to it's students, so I would imagine that May must be willing to hire drivers from the metro Atlanta area.

Are there drop yards that would support home time for drivers from GA? I constantly see MAY trucks on I285 and I20. It would be nice to know what I can expect. MAY sounds like a solid outfit.

 

They are also willing to hire drivers from PA, so I would think they must have locations to park the trucks. Since this is an ask the trainer thread, I sure wish he'd chime in on this one.

Sorry, didn't mean to be harsh. Just hoped you would answer (to the best of your ability) the question. I like what May has to offer, but parking is a big issue.
