OK. Correct me if I'm wriong here but i was under the impression that i would spend 3 weeks at the Stevens training center in Dallas. Then would be put on a truck with a trainer for 5 weeks. At that point be sent home for upto5 days to transfer license and back to Dallas for O2. Back on road with another student 3-4 weeks. Back to Dallas to await a truck assignment. Now im confused cuz im reading that it is 4 days in the training center then on the road with a trainer. Can someone clarify this for me. I have planned with my family that i wont get home for 2 months after i leave sunday but this looks like i may get home a couple weeks ealier then that. Thanks for helping a bonehead out.
Kinda Confused

well if you have already been through a training school, then it runs:
Orientation 1 - 1 week ( maybe a few days over while you get a trainer)
5 weeks with trainer (could go longer)
Orientation 2 - 3 days back in dallas, with a few while you get assigned to a Finishing trainer.
Minimum 21 days out with finisher
Back to dallas for Grad fleet classes ( 2 days I think) then 3-5 for truck assignment/clearing yard.
I just started out with my finishing trainer last Saturday.
if your going thru stevens training school.. add 3 weeks to the beginning of all that -
ok cool thanks for the info. I was getting confused when one person would say did this that or the other for a week and then got a trainer.

You may elect to go home for 5 days between o-1 and o-2 if you wish. If you go directly into o-2 and not go home, they will give you 7 days between o-2 and Grad Fleet.
Transportation home between o-1 and o-2 is on your nickle. If you go for the 7 day plan, they will route you home as soon as you receive your truck at Grad fleet. Just be aware that while they try and dispatch you home, it may take a couple weeks depending on freight. -
You may go home between O-1 and O-2 (on your nickle) or you may elect to go directly into O-2, then they will give you 7 days when you enter grad fleet.
The plan is: get your truck, then they will dispatch you with a load near home. Just be aware that it may take a week or more to get you that load and you may end up running a couple other loads in the meantime. Just depends on where you live.
