You could do a LOT worse than Roehl. I've been with them since August, and this is a new career for me as well. I'm generally pretty happy with everything so far. Sure, there are a few areas where I could complain if I wanted to (poor health benefits, 6 year vesting for retirement), but I try to keep a positive attitude. I was hired with no trucking experience, so I'm here to learn everything I can about this industry. I do think that Roehl provides excellent support for new drivers thru the Evo III program. And I have found that if I am flexible with them, then they will go the extra mile for me as well. I have talked to other drivers from other companies, and it does appear that Roehl is better than most. But remember that Roehl is a training company, and that if you learn as much as you can in the first year or two, you'll be in a great position to move to another company if needed.
If I had to do it all over again, would I? You bet! And I would recommend Roehl to any new driver.
Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

Thanks for your input! I've been in the trucking industry for about 20 yrs all on dock and office. In my younger days I ran the road with a stick hauler for quite some time so from a co-pilot point of view I have seen a-lot and even drove a little so my driver could get a little R&R. But that was then a-lot has changed now. I'm looking forward to getting my CDL finally and hitting the road on my own. I just want to do what is best for my family and work for a good company with as little BS as possible. I know I'm asking a-lot being in this kind of industry LOL!! Here is who I'm looking at:Crete,Roehl,WestSide,TransportAmerica,USXpress thanks again and drive safe!!
