Just guessing here but, I would imagine since it's within the 3 year mark they would just have ya out on the road for the 8 weeks with the trainer to learn the stevens way of doing things.
Can't hurt to call and ask in any case.

Either way, heard Stevens is only buying 660 and 700 from now on, and more 700 to come, but fewer 660s.
The 660s are too small inside, and the 700 have better MPG. -
Yeah I was looking at the brochures and what not for it. Built in fridge, 75" cab, some kind of 10hr battery setup to support the air conditioner and 110ac outlets built in so won't need an inverter and shouldn't need an apu, and the Paccar MX 485hp engine.
Anyways I haven't seen the inside but they look nice. Just heard somewhere that they were changing over to the 700s.
I think CAT stopped making the engines for em or something. Seems all their rigs are runnin paccar engines off the line now. -

Would love to get behind to wheel of one in grad fleet or even after my year. Probably never happen though

It will happen. Just takes a bit of time. Be patient.
it's trickle down trucking...eventually that's all that will be available! -

I am really excited to get started. I have heard that the Trainers get newer nicer trucks. Many have the T700's. I have a Kenny Dealership right up the street from my house. Went and looked at one. The pictures don't do them justice. They look a LOT better in person. Pretty much the same as a 2000 inside. I like em though!

All of Stevens trucks are 'newer and nicer' than many other companies out there. Most trucks are less than 5 years...average fleet is something like 2 years.
New trucks GENERALLY go to trainers first. They put the most miles on them. After 200-250,000 they get passed down the line. But even my grad fleet truck (end of the line) was in great shape at 448,000 miles when I got it.
My truck now was 194,000 when I got it. Still looked like new.
They do maintain the trucks well.
As for the 700's? yea... I agree...they are nice.
Good luck on your start. Let us know how you progress. -
I will definitely keep everyone updated. I am planning on starting a thread as soon as I start getting close to my target start date for O1. Which looks like it will be November 8th. The funniest thing is all my friends and family with the exception of my uncle (who drives truck) take a crap on the 325/week training pay. I am totally cool with it. Seeing as thats about what I clear now, plus won't have rent, utilities, or anything to pay for anymore. So its actually a win in my book!
