Yep, am still here. Took my HT in PA to be with my sister. Have really had a blast on this one. Went to a hunting camp in the mountains for a few days, then had a pool party we went to yesterday when we got back. Today is the normal BS you gotta do before going back on the road again.
Will I stay with TA once I have my 2 years in? I just don't know. Was really pretty down this last time out with not getting quite as many miles and with the OS&D issues I had. Hopefully things will pick back up when I come back out tomorrow. From the looks of my preplan, maybe running around the NE for a while. Don't mind doing short runs as long as there's not a lot of time on them.
As was said earlier, for a company driver, this is mostly an ok place. They keep the maintenace done on there trks and tlrs, and have started a better one on there APU's. Having an APU is going to be a must for any place I go, for sure. Makes life a whole easier out on the road.

 

I have a few problems with TA. I'll explain. After 5 weeks I gave my two week notice. $1300 was not enough for me and my wife at home to live on. For three of those weeks I received $28 .I scanned my bills on time and should have been compensated for them. I think they were banking my hours to assure themselves of their weekly payments in case. I'll spell it out for you. At the end of my two week notice I turned in my truck with no damage and cleaned it out.
7wks total =19,000 miles Total money earned = $16,000
Total take home pay = $2300
Three weeks after I turned my truck in I received a check for $1,052. This was my final pay for the balance of 9600 miles. I was willing to let them scum bag me as I told my wife to expect. After the 4th week I received a bill from TransAm for over $600 for damges to the truck. I attempted to reason with them and all they will say is I signed a contract and that is that. Pay the money or we will turn you over to collections. I played by the rules and I get notices in the mail (3) that I am missed and they wish I would come back. I am not done with this matter.

 

You are kidding us right? You turned the truck in with no damages? You of course took pictures and had them do an inspection and they signed the inspection form and gave you a copy correct?

Then they send you a check for $1502.00 3 weeks later. Correct?

THEN these morons and yes I can get away with that statement as I made the mistake of driving company for them in 2003 for 364 days! NOT 365 as I couldn't stand not getting paid or them losing paperwork like Elementary school aged secretaries! Paperwork that committed suicide by jumping out of the trip pak envelopes! od thing I was a computer geek and had copies to email to them!

Then 4 weeks later after they send you money they send YOU a bill for $600.00?
As I said those morons think you're an idiot! Fight it and then send THEM the bill! That Johnny and his boy friend Ron are a good couple!

They shouldnt have sent you money only to ask for it back
Id also ask um wtf was wrong with the truck that cost 600 in repairs 3 weeks after the fact.
