As far as I know you can carry a weapon in your vehicle. A CCW does not allow you to conceal it tho in every state but there are NO federal laws that prohibite you from carrying a weapon as long as it's not concealled

Not just state laws, but you will also need permission from your carrier.

Each state has their own laws regarding this. Some states, but not all, honor other states CCW laws.

As a newbie I hesitate to post but....
I teach the CCW course here in Virginia. Go to Packing.org, it is a dead site but will refer you to the new site. They list all states where your CCW is valid. There are a few things to consider. There is a difference between being legally able to carry your firearm and whether your employer will allow it by policy. This is muddied a bit as there have been several right to carry lawsuits in some that prohibit employers from banning your right to carry while on their property if you have a ccw.

There was a whole lot of info about this subject already somewhere already. Did you try a subject search yet? I know I threw my 2 cents in..
Yes, you can carry in a truck BUT there are a lot of things to consider.. I.E.:

    1) Which states is your current CCW valid in? (There is no CCW that is valid in all states.

    2) Are you going to be traveling in those states ONLY?

    3) Are you going to be going on any military instalations? How about any Ports? Bonded Warehouses? (Not just federal property is off limits.. A lot of private property is posted, & if it is posted your bound to abide by the property owners request not to carry on his land right)!

    4) The company you work for has to allow it! Only way around this is if it is YOUR truck and your rules..

    Try this site for info:

    Your right Gonzo!
There is a long list of prohibited spaces even in a gun friendly state like Virginia. And any property owner can post his or her property as gun free.
