I'm wanting to get into the trucking industry and have prehires from a few companies already. I am worried that when I get there for orientation for whichever company I choose to go on with, that they might send me home. I was in the Navy for about a month (bootcamp) and got send home for an erroneous entry. I was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder from when I was around 16. They basically told me I was not fit for the United States military and sent me home. My worry is that I have never seen anyone the PTSD and I dont know if the company I choose to go with will send me home from orientation or not. I dont want to quit my job and go up there to just be sent home. Anyone have any advice I dont have the money to see a shrink to show i'm doing alright and that its not an issue no more....

A good friend of mine has PTSD and drives so I don't see why it should be a problem. I will tell you that the stress of driving sometimes hits him a lot harder than most though.

My biggest concern is with the economy the way it is I would hate to quit my job to go there and then get sent home because they say I need to get something showing i'm fit to drive. I guess it would probably be easier just to dish out the money to go somewhere before I go to orientation to show i'm fine and i'm fit to do the job.

no it was a erroneous discharge or something like that. Basically stating that I entered the United States Navy without knowing I had the problem. It wasnt anything like me lieing to get in just saying I didnt know about it and that I wasnt fit to be in the military.
