Thats a pretty cool setup Jfaulk...
Yeah, my lightweight is with alot of extra junk, but its needed, or was needed with certian stuff I was hauling. I can get down below 31k and have even been in the high 29's but was floating on fumes. I'm actually lighter now than I was with my East.

That is one #####en set up man. Gentleman I think we have a winner for being the most innovative.
KHsquarebox Thanks this. -
Jfaulk99 - That's a pretty innovative setup you've got there. Do you have any leakage issues with the grain? I have a factory grain kit that I attach to my silage box and I still have some leaking.
-
There wasn't any leaks that I ever saw. I was surprised with the arch of the trailer but it seals up nice.
We didn't want to build one, we flew to Boise to Western Trailer to see the hopper flats they sell but outside frame flats can't haul coils and they don't make alum trailers. They had a walking floor flat that was cool but again you can't haul coils on it so this was the best option. Western make some neat trailers though. They had the only soft side walking floor I've ever seen, I think they called it a "super van" -
well i have a big bubba six years now and i am not real inpressed will haul big coils ok but the corrsion really has me bothered
-
if you are buying a reitnour trailer inspect it real good for the corrosion where the frame meets the steel suspension this is a real common problem with them and is a real pain to do repair

I see a lot of step decks in FL and was wondering who makes the best for all around duties??? Also could any of those be converted to hauling grain. Personally, I love that set up and wish more people would be so innovative and think of solutions to problems like Jfaulk99 did.
