Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

My drivers dont get out of the bed for less than 2.30 a mile to the truck (loaded)
1.69 is all miles traveled. Including all deadhead (Every single mile put on the truck). And thats not bad.Half a Load and dino6960 Thank this. -
Hey guys what about "Produce" is it good thing to haul?
-
I've heard some stories about it but there's a lot of guys that still haul it so I guess they're not going broke doing it. Not something I want to mess with.
-
Can I haul it on my Double Drop?
-
Don't think it is typically hauled on any kind of open deck trailer
-
You ruined my plan. I was gonna stretch the trl. out and haul produce.squarebox Thanks this.

They haul produce on flats on in the far west coast that way.
Running from the fields to the packing house..
I know I'm being a smart arse now. -
they do onions all the time where i live, lemons, oranges avocado and strawberries but they pack them into the boxes on the field so its just a matter of getting into a cooler

Geez & I thought the dude from Miller hijacked the thread. Now we are talking about hauling fruit on open deck trailers. What's next? Livestock?
