So how do some of ya deal with road rage ? Even little things that might make you mad, like for me trying to keep a safe following distance and someone cuts in way to close and my distance is lost. Drives me nuts:biggrin_25512:

I just get in my head not to get in a hurry, slow down and let everybody else fight for first, second, or third place. I get in my head that I'll be somewhere at a certain time, then maybe add another hour or two and accept it. Don't get me wrong there are times when I get frustrated and down right pissed off, but slowing down and accepting that it's gonna be a long day works best for me.

I try to keep in my head that no matter what someone else is doing, if I don't do anything, they'll be out of my life in about 30 seconds.

When I get road rage, I try to calm down by LOOKING DOWN at the next few 4 wheelers to get a LEG CHECK..............at the women of course......

If you got mad or stressed about everyone that has cut your off or given you the finger you would probably blow your head off in the first hour or two of driving. It happens every 10 seconds in most of the cities and about every 4-5 minutes in your rural areas. So sit back and enjoy the ride and watch the pretty little girls that drive by!

Bingo! See more than legs sometimes and made the thought of road rage go away in a matter of milliseconds.

Ok, so what do you guys do when your on a two lane hwy and the cars that should be yeilding don't? It's a way of life up here, but in my car I can just hold my course and make em back off. Whats a big rig to do when he can't move over and they aren't stopping?

Mergers have to yield. I usually hold course and speed. You never know what four wheelers are going to do. Let them decide as to what your current position is. I gotta tell ya, they have a hell of a lot more to loose! Gas or grass!

I did notice that the brief time that I spent in my rig running out to Baton Rouge I was much less stressed. I think being in that big roomy Columbia and running mostly at night helped. I'm now in a tiny old International working local Austin area and my temper flares sometime, I will try to stay calm, look at some legs and my favorite the seat belt between a nice pair. Be safe out there and try to have fun, for me it beats being stuck inside a warehouse or an office.
