The rates have been a little strange this fall harvest. A few are paying good while the rest are paying the same as always. Whether the ones paying the same are moving anything who knows, I don't haul them.

the one's paying the same might be trying to see who is desperate enough to haul it for that rate.

Rained here steady all day. So much for turning around and loading in the fields.

OTR rates have sucked lately as well - really debating on whether I need this hopper trailer too much longer. I keep trying to find a reason to drag around a $30k+ trailer to haul for $1.50/mi, and it hasn't made sense yet.

Started on with a new carrier last week - only moved 3 loads and sat a few days. 2 of the loads were chicken meal - sure wish they could find a way to deodorize that mess, or at least put it in the trailer instead of all over the truck and the bay. It makes sweeping out a nightmare, and no washout bay on the planet will touch that mess if it's not.

Finished up the week 2 hours from the house instead of in Wichita to drop this trailer off - this isn't going well at all.....

SB I know of 2 combines and 1 buggy around here on tracks. The bosses looked at them last year for the cbines but said they cost like $30000 per machine. We trucks gotta be a little more on our toes on these rock roads esp. when the ditches are full and the edges are soft. Our IH's have positrac so that helps but our 2 FL's get stuck at the drop of a hat. We got a brand new pull rope tho so we're in good shape.
