Just found out that with Conway truckload the training will last up to 3 weeks or however long it takes to get 7500 miles under your belt with a trainer I hope that this info helps anyone else
-
I'm also looking in to Conway in Orlando. Any info on hiring graduates?
-
I also heard that teams and trainer trucks get the priority loads. So you should get your 7500 miles pretty quick.

Training depends on your background. If you have a CDL, experienced or not, I believe they will send you to their bootcamp for a week of brushing up at Crowder College in Neosho, near Joplin.
If you graduated from Crowder you don't need the boot camp.
Then everyone goes to company orientation for 3 days. I know newbies go into a training truck for 7500 miles at $.26 a mile. I believe experienced drivers hit that road at a pay scale based on experience. Check with a recruiter on that.
Good luck and be safe.
RRvmaggs Thanks this. -
I live in Bham,Al. & Conway has a training center here. They say i will work on the dock for 8hrs. and classroom for 4hrs.I`m wondering if i can start out as LTL driver?
-
You are talking about Con-way Freight NOT Con-way Truckload. Yes you will become an LTL driver if you go with Con-way Freight. Con-way Truckload (OTR) is a different company with the same parent company.
-
Sorry, i meant CW freight LTL. How does the apprentice program work and what kind of hours? thanks!

Don't know anything about Con-way Freight's program but there is at least one thread on here for Con-way Freight. Put Con-way Freight in the site's search engine in the top right of the screen.
