lol....bungee's aren't, and never have been considered securement

here's the funny thing.....according to the local DOT.....a 500lb WLL strap is not enuf for 8 4x4's thru the landing gear..........after all they are past the 5', 5,00lbs limit for one strap

guess what....you now have an unsecured load ticket
yeah, like those few 4x4's are going anwhere

mrbeast........while horrific i can see that..if it was secured on the deck, but came loose and hurt someone....the driver #### sure should have gotton a ticket, and locked up

there is no reason for anything coming loose from the deck, at least not if its secureed right

    I agree completely!

If you can't secure a rolled tarp to the deck without it coming loose, You deserve a ticket!
You also deserve to be working at TMC, The worst bottom feeder flatbed outfit in the country now that Arrow is gone!

Yup. Bungees. Securement of choice for extra load locks on a reefer truck. I'm surprised they haven't started nailing us yet!

How do you get a ticket for an unsecure load when in fact your loadlocks, chains, binders, lumber, and tarps are not a load? Sorry but that would've been the first question I asked. Second would've been who is you comanding officer and where is he, I want to talk to him!

The other question that burns to be asked here is..."How are the load locks not secured?" "Were the doors left opened?" Does anyone honestly think a couple of load locks are gonna burst through the doors or bulkhead of the trailer?

I would take a photo of the load locks laying in the trailer and go to court...I would beat the case.

I still do not think this happened...That's right outerspacehillbilly, I believe your friend lied to you or that his friend lied to him.

California has some real ######## with badges on but I've never encountered one that was THAT stupid!

The Banning coop is the equivalent of the Trinidad coop....Crooked SOB DOT.......
Years ago the feds busted some of them for running a scam....They got caught citing drivers for having unserviceable brakes and splitting the money with the local shops.....

Trinidad has a scam with the local junk yards/towing services......The scale is off about 2000 lbs.....You don't want to roll across that scale at more than 78.5K gross...otherwise you'll have have some of your load pulled and you'll pay a $46 fine....

I had two Level 3's in NM the other day....On the first one, the DOT was going to cite me for going over my 14....
He tried to explain that when I went from line 2 (After completing a 10 hour break..) to line 1 (Off Duty...) my clock "started"......
I wasn't in a good mood to begin with so, I just agreed and he agreed not to bust me for "Going over".....

The second Level 3 I asked another DOT to explain why I "went over my 14"....He looked at the log book and said I was perfectly legal......

The coop in San Jon W/B gets that way sometimes.....ADOT has the good sense to light up the bypass scale signs when that happens.....

CSA is a more efficient method of gathering statistics...nothing more....nothing less...
If you run legal...You won't have any major problems....

The problem is as it always was...a DOT's interpretation of the law.......

Why is a FMCSA legal 16" X 84" "Oversized Load" legal in every state but not OR....who requires a banner 18" X 96"?

    Interpretation of the law.....:biggrin_2556:

BTW.....I use chains to secure my "stickers"....They don't move........
