It's a large ocean, if you want to swim upstream, that's your choice. The truck I drive is the best I ever had and I have had about twenty or so, this company has a no-nonesense approach to trucking. I prefer a stricter line to follow and as I mentioned before, it's not for everybody. Good luck with your new company. drive 55cat

Looks like there might be a few issues, but Specialized could be worth it. I haven't made up my mind yet, but Maverick is staying on my list for a bit.

I'm fresh out of driving school and have been talking to a Maverick recruiter for a couple of weeks. They are now processing my application, but I'm a bit worried about my driving record, since I've been denied by a few other companies because of it. I have 3 speeding tickets over the past 4 years, no reckless driving or DUI's. Is Maverick picky about having perfect driving records?

I don't really believe in sanctioning one Company over another, however, I do think that if you do your job well and stay on time you can expect to do allright there, I think the same of a dozen other companies also. drive55cat

So far much of what I've read sounds good, visited there website and they say you can be home weekends too! I live in Iowa City (in their hiring zone) and am looking to switch to a company that can get me home more often, but are the miles good? .39 per mile is better than what I'm making now, but I only have about 7mo. xp and wonder if that rate is predicated on any xp requirements (including hazmat endorsement)? Thanks in advance for any info ;?D
