All I can say about this idea is that it's stupid, and going to lead to worse accident. What happens when I am following a guy and he slams the breaks?

typical bc--its really just a northern part of california
must be the climate
or else the good smoke -
I think the bigger issue is that drivers will become conditioned to running over "Patty" which will cause problems when real children run into the street. The response will go from- Jack the brakes to avoid killing a child, to: slow down and drive over the child.
Excellent job. (cue South Park's "Blame Canada")
What was the name of the author who wrote the satirical book about eating children as population control? -
So before you get to the residential area you slam your brakes, then when you get into the area you slam the kid? perfect
-
I just wrote a book post on that lol.
Nobody will listen to it, but I could not help myself. -
If you are following close enough to hit the guy in front of you if he slams on his brakes, you were following too closely.
-
Lol oh man. I could see a dude messing with passengers making them think hes trying to hit a kid LOL
On a serious note, I think I would work for the non locals. But once you go through it, you'll just get used to it and ignore it. Waste of time and money. -
I used to live in Campbell California quite a few years ago and there was an 11 year old girl that was hit and killed by a speeder thru a residential area. We (the people who lived in the neighborhood) tried several things to get people to slow down.
We put up our own speed-bumps (which the city took out three times) and we painted a "chalk outline" on the street. The chalk outline seemed to work when the city kept removing our speed bumps.Lil'Devil Thanks this.
