Cool. Not sure where he's at though. (been around here about 35 years)
Anyway..... a huge part of ths CARB stuff is going to go on the back burner in November when prop 23 passes. I read in the paper this morning that the Boilermakers Union and the Pipefitters Union are supporting it.
The main problem with it is it doesn't just effect trucks. It's EVERY commercial diesel engine including off road stuff. Not just tractors and dirt equiment either. Air compressors, generators and virtually any kind of stationary diesel powered equipment.
For instace if you have a mobile crane that uses diesel motive power and, a seperate diesel engine to run the crane, both engines would have to be compliant.
Now it doesn't have a whole lot to do with the ports in the context of this thread. That was seperate legislation. They're going to stick to the '07 and newer standard and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
anyway.....

rfid is a traking device and much more.they will be using these same chips in the healthcare bill.everyone will have to have 1 implanted into their skin somewhere.it's set to go into effect in 2013 or so.so much for freedom.
-
Anyone who attempts to implant anything under my skin will get a complementary piece of copper jacketed hot led implanted in thiers.

Resorting to profanity is one of the quickest ways to have your viewpoint ignored due to the likelihood of the speaker being an ignoramus. In a debate, one should keep a calm composure. (if you don't believe me ask Howard Dean about the effects of his outburst- and that was a rally, not a debate.)
In a practical application, I will never receive an RFID tag, as I've got some big fists to go with my big mouth. I will neither confirm nor deny my possession of any firearms, nor any intent to use or not use them.
Finally; yes, much of the information found on the internet is false. The reasons being that many people simply like to stir the pot, anyone can publish anything they like with very few fact checking if any, and interfacing makes it easy for anyone to publish information. It all boils down to secondary information sources. IE: my cousin Joe works for DOT and he says that two chains are fine on a 40,000 lb steel coil. It takes hours of dredging to find a reliable source for information. Even then, many still do not know how to interpret the information or how to check it against other reliable sources for accuracy.
I applaud you for citing a primary source, though you simply said "the gov website" instead of listing the specific place. If you had listed the specific part of the "gov website" I would be able to read it on my own and see which version of the bill you read (there were numerous preliminary versions, in addition to the one that passed) By using the information you did give, it is entirely possible that you read the wrong version. So you talk a big game, but failed to come up with something substantial.
I recommend the library of congress if you want to read bills, that is a specific and factual source. Though it is tiresome to read legal jargon for hours on end.

Good day to you sir. -
Ahh the Woodsboro scale...know it well. Refugio and the red headed DPS gal too. Correct too bud..... C.C. is locked down if they open all the scales..... or is it? Been years since I've been down 35 via Portland, Ingleside. Any coops over there?
-
There is but it isnt always open, but there is a county mounty who likes to pull you over and check you out if you run that way because he knows trucks going that way are usually going around the scales in woodsboro.
