I'm stoppin by to give a quick update on this one for anybody who's reading. I've begun hearing back from recruiters about this dilemma. Before applying, I've sent emails explaining this crap from Comstar on my DAC, and asking: "How Bad will a negative but unfounded entry look?"
The consensus? (paraphrased of course) "Send in your app. We can work with you."

In case the details of the email I sent are relevant or helpful:
I appreciate you getting back to me on the Hazmat question. I do have one more thing I'd like to run by you though. I'd like to know how much credibility my work history (7yrs) would lend in contrast to a bad but untrue DAC entry from an employer I worked for. I can document my resignation, and provide a witness to dispute the employer's claim, but so far the company has been unwilling to hear my side.
It's a touchy subject I know, and the need to screen drivers before issuing expensive equipment is.. An obviously important step. I've never had this problem before so I'm not sure if 7yrs of good history will outweigh my 7 DAYS with a bad company.
Anyhow.. I'd appreciate any feedback, and if the details are a factor, The specific entries state: "unauthorized use of equipment, company policy violation, no-show and late delivery"

Anyhow. It's a very welcome good sign. Regardless of employment, I've begun working with an attorney preparing a lawsuit against the (my opinion) scumbags I was driving for.![]()
