Mr. Southern Pride, im gonna throw in my .02 I say keep on posting, because you know something I do understand that you have been out here more than a couple of days, and now what you have to offer is not so much your ability to hold the wheel anymore, but it is your wisdom from having done it for so long.

I really do appricate the posts you make because they are based on your experince that all of these so called self proclaimed experts on the way things were, are, or are going to be will never hold a candle to having anything close to the experince you do on the road.

Most of them will whine ##### piss and moan till they are blue in the face, they will throw up thier hands and they will quit the game of truckin cause they cant hack it.

Myself however, I know enough to know when the vocie of experince starts talkin, you #### well better listen, it doesnt mean that I am going to agree with everything you say, or that im going to think it is the way I need to do things, but it means I am going to listen and pay attention because I will probably learn something from it.

And should I be so fortunate to learn something from it, well then maybe I wont have to learn a lesson the hard way, maybe then I wont have to go through a craptastic experince to get the job done, and maybe that can make me more of a succsess out here.

As far as the spelling goes, I am a horrid speller, always have been. I can weld, I can wire, I can design things in Autocad 3D faster than most can sketch something out on a piece of paper, and I have quite a few other talents, none of them though are wrapped up in my ability to spell.

Personally I find when some one attacks your spelling it is because they have run out of anything else that is a valid point to make, and that is all they can roll with, and that is a pretty shallow means to have to resort to when your making a point.

Anyow, I hope you are doing well, keep on keepin on and I will be looking forward to your next post.

I think there is a difference between incorrect spelling and those who are just too lazy to type a word in its entirety.

Those people who feel that replacing "U" for the word "you" and so many other shortcuts that make them look like they are still 12 years old drive me crazy!

    Southern Pride
People like yourself who have so much thats worth reading regardless of a few spelling mistakes which are still easy to comprehend, and will be read by me anytime I see you are the author.

There are way too many people with nothing worthwhile to say, its refreshing to read something thats not only interesting, but also the way it really is!

Thank You and best wishes getting back in the saddle again!

I must say, from my self to you all that have posted . If you think he's something on here you should hear him on the phone! i'm no speacial friend to Mr .southernpride, but fellow forum readers i have had the privalage to speak with this man numorous times,,yes that man may have a few days on me :biggrin_25525: but ,his honesty, his knowledge, and exsprirence ,an straight forward calling it like he see it,, with out a doubt are traits that alot of people in this day and age have forgot!!!! An even i myself thru the conversation or thru things here on the forum,,,,I have learened alot from this man:biggrin_25514: and I am thankfull that he took the time to talk with me, we all have dreams and ideas and the biggest thing he keeps trying to tell us all ,Is cant in not in our vocabulary, and one way or another get the job done! We are gona make mistakes, and we need to learn from them,,,,,,and if those that disagree with his straight forwardness could or would just stop and listen they to just might learn somethng new! I think the biggest thing he keeps trying to teach people that are new,is dont be to proud to ask for a helping hand and by all means if you can help your fellow driver, Remember, reguardless of what company you work for your still a driver and out on the road we can an should help each other,,,,,,,,,,,,,,see sp? you did teach this hard headed alittle something:biggrin_25525::biggrin_25514:

i'll start off by saying when people say things like "your spelling is no good so everything you say is stupid"i'll say these people are weak most of the time liberals"cause most of them do/say the same thing"because they have no clue how to think on their own.they are just repeating what has been told to them.so when someone comes along with any real substance on a topic.the only thing they have left in their bag of tricks are insults, belittling and anything else they can use to switch topics, and make it about something else as a way out.they are weak and are the main reason america has been sold out from under us.

as far as all the new rules goes it's par for the course.the fact is the gov is not making these new laws to help keep anyone safe.they are doing it to gain more control over the people nothing more.they do this in everything nomatter how safe it is they plan or wait until 1 bad thing or freak accident happens and they are ready to pounce.

they do this in baby steps lil by lil and just enough to piss anyone with a brain off just enough to get mad.but not enough to make them band together and do anything about it.but the reason most don't band together is not because they don't want to but because the gov has taken so many rights away and made so many laws that most are living pay ck to pay ck if they are lucky.

so this goes on until now where people are starting to wake up and see how much of our freedom has really been taken away."all those lil baby steps are starting to add up".:biggrin_25513::biggrin_25516::biggrin_25511:

    Hi Everyone,

I am a senior at ASU's Walter Cronkite and am writing a piece on Outlaw Truckers for a magazine writing class. I need to talk to Outlaw Truckers past and present to write about the culture and life of the Outlaw. It would be best to call you over the phone but I am willing to go through email too. I have already talked to another Outlaw Trucker who is retired and he told me wonderful, exciting stories I'm sure most of you have as well. If you are interested, please respond to this thread so we can get the ball rolling ASAP. I will not take long to ask a few questions. Thanks in advance!
